First, you should know August 1st-6th it’s Happy Hour for drinks around the clock during posted hours!
On Friday, August 2nd, we are hosting Speakeasy Night. A later-than-usual evening of cool vibes, delectable classic cocktails, and good times. Kick things off with the return of Reverse Happy Hour 9-10pm and stick around past our usual closing time to enjoy a classic cocktail menu presented by bar manager Evan Epperson. Kitchen closes at 10pm, but we’ll have snacks and serve drinks until late.
Saturday, August 3rd we’ll have the smoker rig on the patio and offer BBQ features after 11am.
Sunday, August 4th we’ll present a new collection of brunch cocktails.
Monday, August 5th we’ll roll out a new dessert menu.

The holiday season is just around the corner. J. Wilson’s is THE place to host your office or family holiday gathering. Our banquet space can accommodate up to fifty-five seated people, with the option to break it up into more cozy areas for smaller groups. Reservations are required for banquet space seating and slots fill up quickly as December draws near, so pick up the phone today!

We’re proud to announce that after a lot of hard work and research (read: drinking), J. Wilson’s has updated its wine list. The result is a compendium of wines that are “triple-filtered,” our own term for meeting three standards: a good price, wine that over-performs for the price, and meets a minimum standard of sustainable production. 93% of our list is sustainable, organic, biodynamic. With the use a special device called the “Coravin,” we’re able to serve nearly our entire list of more than forty wines by the glass. The device works by replacing the wine in the bottle with the non-reactive gas, Argon, through a needle which punctures the cork. The wine is therefore preserved for a much greater period of time.
We’ve added a wine-on-tap system as well! Our District 7 Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir come to us in 20 Liter, fully-recyclable, plastic kegs. Nitrogen is pumped in to replace the wine as it flows out, preserving it from the deteriorating effect of oxygen. Wine in kegs drastically reduces packaging costs for the winery, transport costs due to the weight of glass, and reduces the carbon footprint of the wine. Combine that with sustainable growing methods, and you’ve got a wine that’s great for the earth and saves you money! Come in for happy hour, when we reduce the price of these tap wines, and essentially get this wine by the glass for half of what you’d pay for it if it came in bottles. Cheers!
Next tournament game, watch KU play at J. Wilson’s. We have two TVs – one in the bar area and one in the banquet space. You can reserve (785-312-9057) a private space to watch the game in our banquet space, or just join the crowd at the bar. We have wings and beer, too! Free range wings cut in-house, in fact, and good local beer. Go hawks!

Sokol Blosser was founded in 1971. Since then, they’ve helped establish the Oregon wine market, been certified organic, named a certified LEED facility and a certified B Corporation.
